Here are some great Christmas gift ideas that don't cost much, but also don't require any arts and crafts or cooking skills.

When people give a gift they hope the recipient likes it and will be able to use it. It’s hard enough figuring out what to buy someone for Christmas, but can be even tougher on a budget. However, shopping early and shopping in stores and online can reveal great deals on nice Christmas gifts that won’t break the bank.

Christmas Gifts for Men

  • Electric Toothbrush and Batteries: The toothbrush can run anywhere from $7 to about $12 and batteries $2 - $3. Everyone knows guys like gifts they can use and this one is definitely fit to use every day! Giving batteries helps them start right away.
  • Cufflinks: These can be very expensive, but there are some great looking designs for $20 to $25. Some designs even have ties and handkerchiefs that match. This is a nice piece to add to a man’s wardrobe that he could wear to the next New Year’s Eve Party or other special event.

Christmas Gifts for Women

  • Makeup Brush Set: This is a great gift for any woman who likes to wear and play around with makeup. There are great sets available from big name makeup companies for $25 or less. Sets can have anywhere from six to ten brushes that are just for the eyes or include a blush brush for the face.
  • Unique Jewelry: What woman doesn’t like a beautiful piece of jewelry? Online there is a wider variety of options than the mass produced selections that can be found in stores. There is tons of distinctive jewelry on the web in the $8 to $25 range. Although it may still be mass produced, the chance that someone in the same area has the same thing is much smaller.

Christmas Gifts for Anyone

  • Gas Card: Gift cards are often seen as the easy way out. However, in these economic times a tank of gas is a welcome gift for any occasion. A gas card can provide, depending on the vehicle, a whole week’s worth of free transportation for the recipient.
  • Fragrance: This is a gift not given often enough. There are lots of people out there who don’t have a fragrance and some who need a new one. Hundreds of colognes and perfumes are available online for around $25 and many of them are household names.
  • Self Stirring Mug and Gourmet Coffee: This cool gadget is priced from $13 to $25. With a bag of gourmet coffee it becomes a useful and tasty gift for any coffee drinker.
  • Cocktail Shaker and Cocktail Recipe Book: This gift is fun to give and can be fun to use. It’s perfect for a friend who likes to have people over for dinner parties and special occasions. The shaker can be found for as low as $6, but usually runs from $10 to $15 and most books are right around $10 to $15 as well.
  • iPod Accessories: Almost everyone has an iPod and there are countless accessories out there for them. From speakers and cute earbud headphones to clips and wristbands for the more active iPod user, $20 or less can buy a stylish and/or functional gift for a loved one.

Christmas Gift Idea #10

Giving a Christmas gift based on a person's interests is the best idea. What do they like to do? Is it reading, cooking, eating, or writing? Then a couple of bestsellers, a gourmet cook book, a basket with their favorite foods and snacks, or a nice journal and pen would be perfectly good, inexpensive ideas. Whatever their favorite pastime is, it just takes a little thought to give something that doesn’t bust the budget but is still meaningful.
